A Contest

by G.Parker

Okay. I've been inspired to hold a contest. (In other words, I was stuck on what to write about this week and this seemed like a good idea.)

You (the reader of our posts) are going to vote on your favorite/author books. There will be three main categories: Romance, action/adventure, suspense. If we didn't limit it, we'd have all sorts of categories and it would be endless. All books can pretty much fall into these three categories if you break them down. I'm going to start a list, and you can vote for them or add your three and we'll go from there. Whoever ends up with the winning amount of votes will get a prize. I haven't decided if it's going to be food, or a signed copy of the book I illustrated. I might give the winner a choice. The winner will be chosen at random from those who picked the winning book. My kids are good at picking names out of a hat. ;)

Here is the list: (I've stuck with the classics for this round)

Jane Austen - Pride and Prejudice
Jane Austen - Sense and Sensibility
Victor Hugo - Hunchback of Notre Dame
Victor Hugo - Les Misérables
Mark Twain - Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
Louisa May Alcott - Little Women
Charlotte Bronte - Jane Eyre
Frances Hodgson Burnett - The Secret Garden
Frances Hodgson Burnett - The Little Princess
Arthur Conan Doyle - Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
Charles Dickens - A Christmas Carol
Charles Dickens - A Tale of Two Cities
Alexandre Dumas - The Three Musketeers

I've read most of these, some of them many times.
So - get your vote in and we'll see where it stands next week. Have a wonderful Easter!

So, since my previous three wern't really classics, I'll reenter. Because I guess I'm the only one who likes to win things?
