Today (May 3rd) is the soft kickoff for the awesome writing
conference known as LDStorymakers. Can I get a "woot woot"? No. Oh well.
I
say "soft kickoff" because it is really just the boot camp and writers
primer piece of the conference that takes place today. I will sadly not
be in attendance to either. (Maybe one day they won't schedule
Storymakers during my work's month end process.)
Today,
though, will be a great gathering with a lot of hard work. Shortly
after, more conference attendees will arrive and gather and meet and
talk and hang and chill and (maybe) write.
Then tomorrow (May 4th) will begin the two days of awesomesauce!
Writers
Conferences are so great! It's such a good feeling to say things like,
"Hey, I'm NOT the only nerd around." Or even "I actually found people
who understand me."
So, starting this evening, I get
the opportunity to hang out with some great friends who I only get to
see once, maybe twice, a year. Hope your weekend is half as awesome as
mine will be.
Alien abductions are involuntary, but probings are scheduled.
